The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has commenced the SSC CGL 2024 Examination process and this year a total of 17,727 candidates will be recruited for Combined Graduate Level posts. The vacancy is huge, so candidates have the opportunity to submit their applications and start preparing for the SSC CGL Exam 2024. The SSC CGL 2024 is a computer-based exam, and candidates are required to complete the exam in a given duration. The exam pattern includes the subjects asked in the exam, marking scheme, type of questions, mode of examination, negative marking, number of papers and modules, skill test, etc. Note that, there is no descriptive exam in the SSC CGL Examination. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) administers the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination in two stages: Tier-1 and Tier-2. The SSC CGL Tier-1 exam is objective in nature, while the Tier-2 exam consists of three papers—Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3.

Paper 1 is mandatory for all candidates. Paper 2 is specifically for those applying for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) position in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper 3 is for candidates applying for the roles of Assistant Audit Officer or Assistant Accounts Officer. SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam will be conducted online comprising 4 sections with 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in total and with maximum marks of 200. The entire exam is needed to be completed in a time span of 60 minutes. SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam will be of a qualifying nature and marks will not be counted in the final selection.

A Penalty of Wrong Answer: There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. 

The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2024 will be conducted in 2 phases- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
